wait....don't answer that...don't even bother...
there is no set AFR that any set up must be run at....
timing, fuel, elevation and TONS of other factors need to be taken into consideration for what your tune needs to be.
run our car at 11.2 in worm weather and watch it rich knock....SC or not its all in how the car reacts and what makes power SAFELY

I was talking about turbos. You are correct. no set afr, but there are guidelines to follow in setting up a car. And what is this rich knock? Backfire is the only thing I can think that you are trying to say.

Lets not turn this into an AFR war. I just mentioned what i thought john had said. I may not even be right, but as kevin with speed mafia stated, i could be right on. So just chill and wait for more results. The car was supposed to have been started up and beginning the tuning. I will also be calling john on monday and seeing how things have gotten by then.

Talked to John @ Alpine again today, they got another 6 inches of snow. They are waiting for the wiring diagram to come in to wire the Perfect Power Piggyback system up. They already have a bunch of fuel maps made for the chip so tuning should be real simple. the engine is the same as the ion.
John decided to go with Perfect Power over Unichip because it will allow me to tune it on my own from a laptop when i get forged internals. The unichip can only be programmed by a dealer. But they both work the same way and both will work with the engine sensors that are needed to retard timing and control the 5th injector

yep, talked with john and dave great guys! man those guys are mad smart i know SC but damn they have mad skills on Turbo's and SC so it was fun talking with them....and yes the perfect power is nice because if you know what you are doing then you can tune your own car!
so all in all john and dave are pretty much set just a little time to get the car on the road and some time on the dyno!
duane your car is coming along nice it should of came this way from the dealership! trust me you will be very impressed the way everything is installed and tucked in very nicely!
Thanks
KEV

Well, im sure alpine would do the kit for a 2.4 and 2.0. Just give them some time to finish my car up and get some numbers out. Give them a call, it wouldnt hurt.

Where did you find 5psi? The intercooled setup is set to 8psi. and they know exactly how much power its going to produce before they even put it together. These guys know exactly what their talking about.
