A ported head changes the air flow dynamics in and out of the head for the better (if done correctly).

The choice in fuels also dictates the effective detonation threshold of the engine. If a higher octane fuel is used, the party can run a leaner AFR and more spark without risking the result of detonation. This effectively can cause more power.

So to say that the simple change in wheel occurred caused the power output to change is simply false at best. The tuning parameters alone with JUST the change in fuel could have caused the gains on the boost level.

yeah, i understand that. but again, i wasn't comparing my car to ryans car in the first post, that wasn't the intention of this thread. someone asked if me and him had anything to compare on and i said this is all i had. but if all that stuff is going to add power you say, then how come he only did 50whp more than me if hes running a ported head AND race gas? when i switched to race gas, i did 591whp. still on an unported head. compared to his 490ishwhp on a ported head.
