The choice in fuels also dictates the effective detonation threshold of the engine. If a higher octane fuel is used, the party can run a leaner AFR and more spark without risking the result of detonation. This effectively can cause more power.
So to say that the simple change in wheel occurred caused the power output to change is simply false at best. The tuning parameters alone with JUST the change in fuel could have caused the gains on the boost level.
