Finished porting my blower

I just finished porting my blower. And took it out for a test drive, I must say it is moving a lot more air. The whine from the blower is so much louder now. I have a 3.0 pulley on it and it hits 15 psi instantly now. No more working up to it anymore. And from the SOTP meter it pulls a lot harder all the way up to redline in every gear. Well worth my time doing this. Cheers to all

I'd like to see some pics too! What does it all involve? I'm not all that familiar with the process.

I was thinkking of doing this myself, was it hard to get the rotors out. when you filled the oil back up do you fill it the the bottom of the puug with the blower sitting flat on the bench level or fill it up with the blower tilted like it sits on the car. Did you polish it inside or just on the bottom and enlarged the two small ports on the outsides?
Thanks,Chris.

I took the angle of the blower on the car and simulated it on the bench to fill. But intense says 6 1/5 oz if I recall correctly.

I have a Makita porting tool and about 50 different bits and shanks. Also use sanding rolls to get the nice polish look. The bit I used was made to cut aluminum and was a tappered 8 flute.

As for power there is a gain how much, I cant tell you since I didnt have it dynoed. But in all my cases my ass meter never lies. As for the sound it's insane it gets really loud. It sounded like my friends 04 pullied Cobra its that loud. And boost comes in almost instantly now. And after about 10 hard passes I felt the blower case and its alot cooler then before. It's definatley moving more Volume (AIR). The charge is alot cooler.

Now to remove the guts, you just need to take the bolts off the front of the blower correct? Then you could just put the gears/rotors out as one peice? How lond did you say it took you from blower removal to test drive? After my 3" exhaust my blower whine is long forgotten

About 4 hours. Would have been a lot faster but keep going inside the house watching the games. Correct removal is as you stated. I also have pics of the rotors. I can email them to you?
