Your still making these hackjobs?

1. The slits are there to allow air to enter the rotors AFTER they push it down into the manifold. This decreases efficiency but makes the sc quieter for grandma and grandpa. Making these larger is retarded.

2. The V in your SC is made like that for a reason, dont touch it. This blower is of genV design and you get almost no gains from porting the outlet. If the angle or length of the V is made ANY larger, the rotors will NOT match up to it correctly, resulting in the rotors RECIRCULATING already charged, superhot air. If you dont know why that is bad then stab yourself.

3. Porting/polishing the inlet to match the TB or a larger TB is a good idea. Do you know WHY its called an m62? Do you? Its because for every rotation of the rotors, you get 62cfm of air. It doesnt matter how much you open the inlet, your still getting 62cfm. if it was larger then it would reduce resistance, causing lower temps. this is good.

4. Someone mentioned porting the outlets on the m90 featured on the old school supercoupe thunderbirds. They were correct, you get MASSIVE gains from porting an m90 on a supercoupe. Do you know why? Its because that blower is wickedly shitty, and a gen ONE design. Its pretty well known that a genv type blower has an EXCELLENT outlet design, and should not be touched.

Eatons come on a lot of different cars, yet you guys are the only ones that destroy your blowers in such a manner. Will it stilll work? Yup. Will it be better? Nope. People have supercharger dyno's for a reason, to make a good blower. This is not the way it supposed to happen for maximum inefficiency. If anything this blower is now less efficient.

to date, the highest proven hp cars have stock blowers.

NO numbers have been posted to debunk this.

so after hearing everything in this thread is porting and polishing the eaton m62 a good idea? if not porting what about jsut polishing? how about plugging the silencers?

I've also heard teflon coating the inner housing would raise the effeciency of the blower?

any input?

Not right now. When i got it back i was to excited to get it back on the car. I however might be able to get some this weekend since i'll have time to work on the car (gotta change the oil). BTW Steig was an awesome place to have it done. I shipped my blower UPS ground, they recieved it, called n told me what was wrong, ported and polished it and shipped it back in 6 days. I was amazed!

They were running a special before the new year... Total was just under $500 and that was counting me shipping, their work and shipping back. Not a bad price if you ask me for the work and the turn around time.
