tap and di set. u need to drill a hole then use a tap set to make new threads in the hole to thread in the fitting for the feed line

the pan will need to come off regardless of drilling a hole in the block or the pan.

NO for the drain line u need to drill out the oil pan as high as u can go pretty much directly above the factory oil drain plug.

but what i am saying if u have the hahn kit u will not need to drill the pan bc the oil return kit is designed to use the stock oil drain hole location

that is why these kits are so nice bc they are rare and unique. ya everyone has zzp, or another company but nice to have the first turbo kit made for the cobalt.

most parts can be made or purchased universal fittings and such.

ya the water pump house case comes off and u have to drill and tape the correct hole in that plate. the pic is in the thread i posted. I will also try and find a pic of hahns drain line setup for you

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l...s-soon-209522/
look at this thread and there is a great pic of the hahn oil drain line kit. See how it utilizes the stock drain plug? also if u decide not to do this u can drill a hold in the pan directly above the oil pan plug as high as you can go and weld in a bung.

one more option is the oil drain boss which i will try and find a pic of as well
Sorry the pic is sideways but this is the garrett oil system made with the original alpha kit. this is the setup I am running exactly. This is the oil boss in the block that I had to drill and tap

Also, how does the intercooler work?
Does it use the anti-freeze/water to cool off the air or something?

the intercooler is air only no coolant.

there is no heat exchanger for this kit.

The coolant only goes into the turbo.

Don't mess with the stupid hahn oil setup. Please stop giving him more headaches. Unscrew a bolt in the back of the block for the feed line run that to the turbo. Drop the pan drill and tap 1 hole for the return line as close to the top of the pan as possible. Easiest way possible IMO. No wait, I know it is. I've tried the others

You could save about $95 of that just by drilling and tapping 1 hole. Just sayin

See where I tapped mine? It's simple man. You have to pull the pan anyways might as well just use the one you got. It's silly to waist all that money for shipping and a new pan for something that takes a half hour. Heck you could even take it to a machine shop and they could take care of it for you for probably ten bucks if you felt more comfortable. I'm just trying to help steer you in the right direction man

That was my old turbo setup. Turbo doesn't sit near as low anymore, but you get the picture.
