let me get this straight

ok now ive been wanting to supercharge my car because i THOUGHT supercharging was cheaper, but looking online at prices, it seems that a turbo kit is a lot cheaper. HOWEVER, im not sure if those kits really have everything i need. ****** confused. i would turbo my car if i knew i was getting what i needed. nooblet right here.

If you buy a kit of either you should be fine. It's usually cheaper to piece together your own kit.

piecing together a supercharged kit is the cheapest if you have a lot of patience. just look for good deals in the classified and buy each part you need one at a time

it is cheaper to piece together you own kit...and if you have neither to start with, turbo is the way to go...

stock m62 maxes out at around 270whp without advanced modifications. 400whp is easy with a turbo if you are already built. plus superchargers put out a crazy amount of heat and uses alot of the engines power to spin the supercharger

if i go for a stage two turbo, zzp's kit claims 100-110 whp gains. the SC is a bit less. but you're saying that with additional mods, i can get that turbo kit to more max power. okay gotchya

idk if thats a question but you should be around 240 whp if you are manual with that kit. once you get forged connecting rods and pistons, you can crank up the boost and make more

but you are saying that even when i upgrade all the internals and do as much as i can, i would only get out about 270whp out of the sc but 400 if i build it with a turbo. is that wat you are saying?

yes thats what im saying. unless of course you get cams, ported head, valvetrain, e85, and full boltons then you could see upwards of 300whp on the m62. but if you dont really care for the whine, go turbo

I like the sound of giant turbos spoiling up better than sc. Like my dads diesel had a massive turbo and is so god damn loud I love it! But ya you will get more power down the line with a turbo once you upgrade your internals so you don't blow everything to ****. Plus you get a bov
