need opinions on downpipes
need opinions on downpipes
what should i do for a turbo downpipe? should i go full donpipe all the way down to the catback or should i just make the piping meet up to the stock downpipe and then buy one later?
the header drops straight to a downpipe which then connects up further down stream with the catback....im saying instead of getting rid of the downpipe to catback pipe...could i just install the turbo and mai and mani a pipe that connects up to the stock downpipe?
i would need a place for the stock sensor plus a o2 bung for a wideband...and also i was thinking id get a high flow cat to put in it....where the best place for the o2 bung
?
?
U gota have a full 3 inch exhaust to run turbo.
is not necesary but is ur best bet I don't know wat ur budget is but I recomend u do 3 inch all the way.
If u don't want a check engine light put a high flow cat.

You dont have to go full 3" exhaust. It all depends what power your going to be making. If your going to be making over 280whp, then yes go 3" so your exhaust isnt the restriction. Other then that a 2.5" would be fine. And you should just get one made to go from the turbo to the flex pipe. A downpipe is just that. You then can replace the exhaust from there back if you want or just replace the flex pipe and cat if thats all you want to do. Its just gonna cost you more money and MOST downpipes just connect the flexpipe(start of the exhaust) to the turbo.
