Alright, so I installed a T3T4 turbo onto my car, it was a pain in the ass but we finally finished it. But heres the problem, i cant boost more than 5 psi. First thing i do is make a boost leak tester, find a lot of leaks, fix them and run it up again. Still only pushing 5psi, next we go and check the BOV because it was working, fix that and now its releasing pressure like its suppose to. Still only 5psi.

We also dropped the exhaust to see if the cats were causing back pressure that the turbo didnt like, no luck.

We made a plate and disconnected the wastegate and blocked off the output from the mani and took the wastegate and boost controller out of the system. Still stuck at 5psi. The thing is you can hear the turbo spooling and it sounds great but its hitting 5psi and dropping it. Its not the gauge because if it was boosting more than 5psi we'd feel it. We ran out of ideas and were wondering if any of you guys ran across this problem before, what could it be? Any suggestions?

 

Who tuned this car? Take it to someone that has some general knowledge about turbo setups before you hurt the motor

 

Maybe that's all it's gated for?

 

Is this a ebay turbo. They are known for not pushing hardly any boost if you got a dud which is about 50% of the chinese turbos
