Just curious, what about the 2.5" screamed out to you? A 3" exhaust would help with your already excellent spool time, and should help through the whole powerband as well.

ill probably do 2.5 from the cat back...downpipe and all for the turbo will probably be 3"....would that hurt anything going from 3" down into 2.5"?

Yes. It would be better to do 3" all the way through.

damn...i dont really want to have to give that exhaust up already...would it hurt just to kepp it on there for a little while until i get a chance to pick up a 3"?

When I say "hurt" I mean that you will have less horsepower through out the band and have a slower spool time. The car will still function perfectly, and at no danger to the engine. You could leave it on there the whole time you have the car if you like, but you do so knowing that the car could perform better and be a better driving experience.
