your post is a little hard to understand, are you saying hahn is taking up orders for the kit for $4,000?

$4,000 and your HP gains are going to be limited. Without doing internals and valve train work these engines are not going to hold big power gains.

This is good news, that should mean they're getting close to releasing the turbo only kit.

No ****! I'm on the same page with you here. I want dyno numbers on a sheet, a parts list, and some more pics before I put 4K down!

Just got this e-mail a few moments ago from Hahn.

Hello,

We will be posting the resuts shortly, as hopefuly by this weekend! Hang in there!
Can't wait to see what they have to say. If I can get my 350whp realiably with it, I will go this route. I'll have a few dates with some SRT-4s shortly thereafter too as a payback session!

Dan, I'm with ya on this...1/3 might be pushing it, 1/2 the cost is definitely thinking that is reachable. Hell, for $4k you could do a full custom turbo back exhaust and Mahle 8.8:1 pistons along with a straight turbo set up, axles and be at 400whp.

im not a proponent of twincharging....seems like a waste of money. Just upgrade the S/C you already have or switch it out for a turbo, and sell the S/C to help offset the cost of the turbo kit. The only thing that is good about twincharging is when someone says "is your car turbocharged or supercharged?" yuo can say "both" lol but thats about it.

Why rods? They're one of the strongest pieces in our engine. Axle is a matter of if you are making it a track car or street car.

The kits should be designd for as the car comes. It's not a kit without having everything needed.

ok, $4k deff. need #'s on sheets parts included, if we can simply bolt on or need to weld anything. what internals need to be replaced/should be. what about the blower?? over spinning?? how much would it be able to take/handle. would the S/C limit the air from the turbo coming in??

Well if you have a GM Stage 2, you wasted lots of money if you go to this kit. The supercharger pulley will change, it will have a custom tune to replace the Stage 2, more than likely larger injectors than 42s, etc.

Twincharged kits use larger than stock supercharger pulleys so overspinning isn't an issue. When the twincharged RL had his set up (365whp), he had a 3.8" pulley on his M62. If it wasn't safe, they wouldn't sell it.

I've shot back and fourth emails about these questions to Hahn. The kit will come already tuned, simply install it on the car, and either send the ECU in to be flashed or they will include a way to do so at home. The kit was designed to work with the stock internals, so there is no need to replace the pistons, rods, vavletrain etc.

Supporting mods in my opinion would definitly entail a better clutch, mounts, and axles for the drag racers here. I feel if the kit lays down 350whp reliably, which it should be capable of in anyone remembers Twincharged's redline, it will be worth the money.
