Larger s/c pulley because by the time the boost is peaking on the s/c, the turbo is finally spooling up. Twincharged maxed out at 21.5 psi. I think going down much more of a s/c pulley would overspin the s/c at high rpm from the turbo.

If more than twincharged numbers are desired, might as well up the compression and keep the M62 or switch to full turbo and put lower compression pistons in.

no what if i were to put low comp pistons in with the twin charge system?? and mill the head down a bit with new valves and springs, think any more power would come from that?

I think if people still find they need power after 350ish whp, they could just buy the manifold, slap your TB on there, and tune for more power. My goal is 350whp and torque. Whatever gets me there reliably will end up on the car. Whether it's a twincharged kit, custom done KB blower from me, or some serious engine messaging I will own that power and realiably!

Yea I agree 100%, if this kit could get me at 350, which is exactly the amount of power I want, reliably then im in
My balt is my DD and I don’t want **** to break lol

I personally think anymore than 350-400whp in these cars would be useless unless the intended desire is for track purposes only. I already have built up the weak areas of the car except for the axles, which will be ordered after my deployment, so I'm hoping for my car to be where I want it to be by spring time! There are many other changes coming as well. I will have an animal on my hands after I'm done.

Yea there has to be a point when power just becomes more of a problem then an improvement. 350 is plenty for these cars IMO, unless like u said its for track only. Im bone stock right now,but if something like this kit, or any other kit for that matter, is reliable and gets me around that power ill go for it.

no you cant trust me im at 6k for internals and drivetrain

I agree with you, no they won't be able to unless they are mechanic\machinists.

What he said. My SC work alone has been just under 8K, and that is not counting machining, engine/internals, PCM/flash and all the associated work to get the most from your new system.

Oh, and I am back!

Yeah, I thought the same thing but I think that is a typo; it should be of. In the first batch of systems built, not if the system is built. I dunno though, that could little if might be there disclaimer.

Well I haven't blown as much crap as you. Mahle pistons are cheaper than the diamond pistons...they 8.8:1 forged are $480! Thats the only thing that needs built internally unless you wanna bump the valvetrain then thats about another grand. Turbo would be around $800, piping is $100 and then when you know how to work on cars, have a lot of local friends that do, unlimited access to a machine shop for free, etc...yeah $4k is more than enough money.

Exactly...its all point of dimishing returns and spending the money where its needed...and spending it smartly.

Our twincharger kit and our 2.4 kit WILL come in under 2000 each. Its all about finding deals and only doing what needed. and fixing it when/if it breaks...just imho
