wastegate and bov vacuum problem

okay, so today i was under my hood trying to work on this homemade catch can. i heard a vacuum leak and started searching. i put my finger over the atmosphere port on my wastegate and it started sucking. when i close the vacuum i noticed that my BOV opened up and when i took it off and created a leak the BOV closed again, not how its supposed to be.

so i took a metal T connector that i got from ZZP with my kit and replaced it with the plastic one i had in there. the vacuum noise decreased and the bov does stay open when idling now.

i have the vaccum line from my intake manifold to this metal T, then one side goes to my wastegate and the other to my bov and boost gauge.

should the wastegate be doing this? how do i fix it. here is a video to understand better

Have you ever taken the wastegate apart to change the spring? There is a orange diaphragm in there if its damaged it could cause a leak.
