ok so im driving down the road and i stop at the light and a guy in a honda civc goes rever your engine so i did and i have the KN CAI and all you hear is WWHHHHIINNNEEE..
and the guy goes HEY MAN YOUR **** Aint Turbo... """ IT DONT MAKE THE WOOSH SOUND"""" and i looked at for a second and he goes that thing must be slow so i pointed and the SUPERCHARGED emblem and said it will beat ur lil 1.8l any day buddy.... and crushed him at the light.....

yeah the woosh sound is actualy what adds the horse power it isnt the turbo, the woosh sound can easily add 50 hp to your car!!!!!

About the woosh sound so has anyone else seen people trying to sell BOV on cobalt performance parts pages..?? i see it all the time.....

I dont think it can the only thing we have like that is a Releaf valve (waste gate)
and it doesnt work that way

i was wondering why they have all those things listed for the cobalt and was thinking maybe they are trying to clue us in that they may be developing a turbo kit??? who knows

 

dude if you have that turkey whistle like the guy in the talon you woulda made like 100 hp cus not only did it make a whooshy sound it also made a gobble gobble sound thats like having it super ultra turbo charged

 

The Woosh will not add power but a well tuned Bypass or Blow-Off will keep the turbo almost fully spooled between shifts and make power much faster (Almost Eliminating Lag)

 

You could put a blow off on a SC car but its supposed to relieve compressor surge... A supercharger will not stall out like a turbo between shifts because it's belt driven so there is no benifit at all to it just Bling and a silly noise.




P.S. A Wastegate is only used on the EX side of the plumbing. A Better word to use is By-Pass Valve or Blow-Off Valve

hahn racing is actually creating a turbo for the ss non s/c... my uncle is a manager at hahn racing so ill keep yal updated and ill also see if there makin a kit for the ss s/c.. supose to be a badass kit though...
