Seriously, this has been discussed a hundred times before on this site. If you actually read through any of the useless, dumb-ass threads on the subject you'd know that. Quite honestly, along with 90% of the other members on this site I am sick of hearing about this stupid lame-ass debate. No Cobalt will ever be a collector's car, no matter how rare the engine, paint, nor badging is on it. It's an economy compact car. Get over it. Is there anything else you'd like to make an ass out of yourself over today?

By that same token, I never said that YOU thought it would be a collector's car. I simply said that it could possibly be rare, but will never be a collector's car. You just got mad that I called you dumb for reviving a lame thread.

i agree with you, a rare car in FACTORY condition could fetch a nice sum at barrett jackson... about 40 years from now

They never thought of making an Aveo SS because the Aveo isn't American. It is just a rebadged Suzuki Aerio.

i agree the Malibu should not of gotten a SS badge. as for 2006 2.4l cobalt it performs well enough to have a SS badge status, as for the suggestion to call it a Z24 well that badge belongs to a caviler not a cobalt. if i remember correctly back in 68 ,69 there were 2 Camero's badged SS one with a 396 & one with a 454 engine, so should we say the 396 was not worthy of the SS badge in it's day. think about it

the only thing that ill give chevy props for about the 2.4 ss is that it isnt a 2.0 without a blower , its a completely different motor which is good , that would have been shittie if they would have had a 2.0 ss s/sc and a 2.0 ss n/a

3) You're level of idiocy rises beyond any that I've ever seen if you think that only "kids who dont wanna spend the extra money get the 2.4". I'm not a kid, and I had the extra money. I bought a 2.4L SS because I liked the car for a daily commuter... not because it had an SS badge on it.

You sir, should make your 3rd post your last on this site. There's no room for more idiots like you.
i have friends with the 2.4 its no joke i like it

I'm wondering if some people aren't just buying the SS moniker and pasting it to whatever car they want???? It's not illegal or anything????? Kind of like taking the SS wing and throwing it on a base cobalt.

I second that. It’s especially sad to see long timers do it as well. Please be respectful and follow the site rules everyone. https://www.cobaltss.net/rules.php

So its all about street cred to you. Like I've said about a dozen times, if I was still in HS and cared whether or not Timmy at school had a faster car than me, then I would have gotten a SC. No, actually I would have gotten a Viper.

And who's a kid, anyway? I'm 40, paid cash for my car and own my own home, well, me and the bank. Can you say the same? All you have over me is your youth.

I'm through with this forum. If I knew it was all 16-18 year old kids I would have never signed up.
