08 Cobalt SC

Just read an article on the "Car and Driver" mag site confirming the demise of the 08Supercharged Cobalt. GM states that the car wouldn't meet tighter emisions regulations for 2008, and given that it represents less than 3% of Cobalt sales, further development can't be justified.

I've not read a single post on this site concerning the actual reasons for its demise (from a reputable source).
So when Car and Driver magazine interviews a top member of Chevy's product development division, there are people that want to know.......the truth.
There are members of this forum that don't have time to spend their lives surfing this site for every tidbit of info. Simple as that.

Of the ten to fifteen threads in the "past while" I didn't discover any interview with with GM brass (considering it just occured).

That would make sense to me. I don't read sticky threads (they tend to be baseless).

At any rate, I was suprised by the "less than 3% of production" stat. Thats pitifull.
