5 of his last cars had between 5 and 7k miles on them. every 3months he goes in for an oil change and they tell him he dont need it.

Tie rods should be fine unless he is noticing play in the steering or the boots are ripped.

Wheel bearings are non-serviceable, nothing to check.

4 paint jobs? What?!

I've been thinking about getting my clear coat redone, but not the whole thing!

Ps, I'm at 97k miles.

car was vandalized with paint stripper in 2008. got it repainted by insurance. friend hooked me up with kandy paint then. Last year, I primered it when I got money from the insurance from another vandalization. Its took me this long to get it back to shop to paint. got it painted and after it was done they noticed it was really waivy. so they had to re-do the whole job and block the car to get it smooth. get it back on tuesday

if its your throw out bearing you wont hear it when the clutch is dis_engaged (pedal to the floor). wheel bearings will typicall get louder on the side they are bad when turning in th eopposite direction. if you take a left and the noise gets louder it would be the right wheel bearing. hope this helps
