OK... I have a question...

I'm in the process of putting together my GMS3 set up (with many thanks to the folks at CSS). I'm about to place an order to ZZP for sum small parts needed, and I'm wondering if a BFRPS would be a good purchase? Or, is it not necessary??

Yes.

It uses the 42's that come with GMS1 & GMS2.

The AFR is leaner so they work just fine with the smaller S3 pulley.

Neat tid bit of info is Time Attack used 42lb injectors as well.

Ok... I've asked this question before, and I honestly don't think I got a straight enough answer. SO, I'll ask again...

It's hard to come by any fuel with a higher octane of 91 around my parts.

I'm running a meth kit that feeds into the intake, and currently I'm only using it for cooling (just distilled water).

Can I add a percentage of methanol to the water mix to up my octane to the desired amount to keep me from KR??? And Can I do this without a tune???

Thanks guys!! This whole thread has been a real help so far!!

You can increase the octane rating of 91 octane fuel by adding hydrocarbons with higher octane ratings. However, when you add low molecular weight hydrocarbons like methanol and ethanol, you must inject more of them to keep the stoichiometry correct (hence the need for larger fuel injectors for running fuels like E85). I have had success by using xylene (dimethyl benzene...a high molecular weight hydrocarbon) to increase the octane rating. I don't have much knowledge about injecting methanol to keep down knock retard, so I'll let someone else answer that.
