available ECU's for cobalts
available ECU's for cobalts
Who knows what kind of engine/fuel managment units are available to be used in any of the cobalts? I checked with greddy for their e-manage since i think that is a nice unit but they say it doesnt work for the cobalt as of yet but they are looking into it. I was just wondering if anyone has any info on units that will work for our cars. thanks
pretty much we are screwed when it comes to engine management. piggy backs have very limited functionality, as our computers will override most of them. intense racing sells a maf-t setup that seems to be working pretty good with their "270whp kit" that they are selling now. other than that, looks like you are going to have to wait for the gm flash, or until someone cracks the pcm and can produce aftermarket flashes or chips.

Doesn't matter if the car has a speed limiter on it or not there is still a SPEED LIMIT
speed limiter should not be a concern unless you plan on trapping at like 140+mph at the track...which i doubt. and there's no need to be going that fast on the highway, so its pointless.
the point of this thread being that we can do very little to upgrade/mod our computer system in the cobalt. the maf-t setup is the only thing i've seen/heard of that works to adjust the a/f to get some sort of tuning out of our cars after modding the fuel system or air system. i've heard of people working on cracking some algorithms, but no products yet. do a search...there are TONS of posts about this stuff.

are our ecu's worse than the celica gt-s because those were bad with resetting the computer and the only good systems that worked for those cars were the e-manage and apexi power fc

. Your local law enforcement upholds that. Plus it's just stupid to drive fast. Do it on a track
And yes, i plan on racing this on a track. My local law enforcement is a bunch of morons. And who are you to tell me what fast is? Do you have any idea where and what I am doing with my car? Didn't think so. Put a sock in it.
