bad judgement already?
Hey everyone i know i haven't posted on here in a while(with work and all) and i cant wait to drive the new cobalt ss(i even got a better job just to offered it.) so on friday night i was riding with my friend in his 03 srt4(pretty nice car) and we went to a chevy dealer to look at the cobalt sedan and when we got there and started looking at it he said that "i dont see why so many people talk down about it in forums and like people that we know and havent even sat in the car yet? i mean i like it when i get praised on my srt4 but its always" hey nice neon", "or where u get the bodykit" and im stock. when everybody thinks it's a modified neon?" " really how many people know thats its one of the fastest production car under 20k?" (dodge raised the price so 21k)"And everybody says that its slow for a sc car? 0-60 in 5.9 stock is slow since when." "why in the hell would u need a 0-60 in 3.8 or 3.9 just to go to work and back!" I didnt want to complain or anything just dont see why peeps give it such hate and they havent sat there fat tails in the car let alone touch to the door handle! I think its to each of its own. if your gonna pay the monthly note and insurance then u can buy whatever you want to buy. thats my 0.02 cents
all the reviews say its all good and so on.... but when you think of it, all the reviewers tested the "pre-production" version of the car, and even at autoshows, GM dosent let you have close look or sit in it because they say its not finalized yet. from the pictures we saw of the one at the dealership, its so cheap inside it is comparable to a kia (some kias might be using better materials, just look at that e-break handle in the pic). wouldn't everyone just wished GM charged you 1-2 grand more for the car and use better quality plastic, higher grade leather (the pic of the orange SS showed the leather all fed up and i doubt that car has been driven that much) and not be stupid in putting LSD and Recaro in a package when people might just want one and not the other (GM: "ummmm duh the LSD would give the car ultra good road holding power that the stock seats MUST be replaced with ones with more bolster or driver and passengers would be smacking thier faces into the side windows during turns...).
when looking at the regular cobalt (non s/c), how did GM expect it to compeat with the mazda3, lancers, civics and corollas when they are better in every aspect besides that the cobalt might out handle the corolla?
also just my $0.02

You haven't actually driven the car boost have you. My LS Sedan Performs VERY well infact my friend who OWNS a Corolla Is quite jealous of me having this nice shiny new car.. So much so that he's been working recently on Pimping out his ride. Rember most of us will use this car for Daily driving. I have no IDEA why the 0-60 rating is so important to most of us when we can't even LEAGALLY Drive 60MPH on a road unless it's an interstate
Actually
You can sit in it at the Auotshow. At least the one here in Kansas City. (ends sunday) they had a Vicotry Red cobalt SS/SC with red inserts, snrf etc.... and i sat in it a few times and took some pictures on my phone.

That was probbly the same one in Cincinnati..... (scratches from loading and unloading under the nose) When I saw that one I noticed several things wrong with it and they told me it was one of the first prototype cars

If it was a Supercharge SS, aren't there only like three or four options available?
The Victory Red SS/SC that we had at training was the actual one they used in the commercials, funky vin and everything. It was the third one produced ever (SS/SC).
