Wow dude,
I'm jealous. Can't wait till my black/black SS/SC shows up.
When did you get yours delivered?
I'm on week 11 right now. They say it's on the way. Still waiting for proof.

I waxed my Cobalt the day after I got it. It's the first time I've tried to wax a black car so, there were a few swirls to say the least.. Does anyone have any advice on the best way and/or method to waxing a black car?

1) Keep it out of the sun while you do it, for sure. Metal should be cool to the touch.

2) Make sure your cloth is fresh. When it starts to get waxy, get a new one. You probably want to change the cloth more on a black car.

3) Use very little wax to begin with. You don't need a lot.

4) Rub like a bastard.

Someone on this site recommended Zaino, and I tell you what that stuff worked great on my black SS. Follow the directions - high quality 100% cotton made in the good old US of A towels nicer than what you use after a shower. The Zaino spray in between waxes will remove road dust without scratching, which is perfect for black since it shows so much.

I agree Zanio is about the best wax you can get I have been using it for about 4 years on my black P/U. Makes the paint look 1 foot thick plus no white marks when it dries easy to remove. Tip the longer you can leave it on before you wipe it off the better it looks. I put it on at night then remove it in the morning.
