Boost

i have a canadian cobalt lol and its boost is not in psi whats the conversion

Its in bar. You can search yahoo and it will give you a psi to bar ratio.

When boost is measured in kilopascals versus PSI it make the car faster. So dont worry about it. After all they are higher numbers right?

the canadian boost gauge is in kph instead of the usa version which is in psi

14.7 psi +101.3 kpa
so if your boosting 80kpa it is like 11.6psi

go to google.. type exactly "KPA to PSI" and you will get the converter pop up first


or to do it manually times your kpa by .1450

Yea I have the same "problem" lol... wonder if you can order a stock psi face to replace the kpa face.

I don't know about that, but they do have gauges.......and they're not to expensive either.

I don't think you can do that cause the boost gauges are a sealed unit and I don't think you can find just a psi face plate. Try seeing if someone has a stock psi boost gauge for sale or check ebay if you don't want to order a brand new one.
