A buddy and I are wondering about the boost guage in the SS

I heard someone say that its in KPA. Is that true? and can we get a pic? i looked "a bit" with the search button, but i didnt see any pics..

It's PSI in the US. I heard the Canada guage will be KPA as well.

1 PSI == 6.89 KPA
12.5 PSI == 86.125 KPA

i doubt they would switch to metric for a boost guage.
Has anyone ever rolled down the window and ask how many kilopascals you are running?

From the dealership today:

The Cobalts destined for the US have the PSI gauge because they still deal with pounds.
We Canuks have gone metric, therefore all vehicles destined to Canada will have KPA and unfortunately will not be able to make a switch. We can't even order the PSI gauge in Canada.

which means.. im going to have to go with autometer if im going to psi...

Can I not order a Boost gauge from a US dealer with LBS?

Does any autometer gauge fit in and wire up? or are they special dealer P.O.S gauges.

Im definately switching mine to LBS

its probably cheaper to go through autometer, check out jegs or summit, I bet they make the same gauge. If not they probably make something you would like more.

what are they trying to say that we "still" deal with pounds? like we are the barbaric pound users?

You can order either version from CED, and they are made by autometer.

Because we have to be a pain in the ass and use english units when the rest of the world is metric. I love the good ol' but that is one thing that really bugs the **** out of me. I have to deal with both in my job every day and it gets annoying sometimes.

WRXs have MPa (Megapascal) boost gauges. Some cars depending on origin have Bar gauges as well.
