no no no. i said i ran .11 slower without the a/c BUT with an extra 600lbs over my 15.62 time i ran stock. i had bald ass tires and not a good day also when i did the 15.73. probably woulda dipped low 15s

i was able to out run cars that ran high 14s all day from dig or rolls

i think its kinda dumb to take it off....the pulley has like the equivalent of half a horsepower of drag comin from it....and its on a clutch so whenever your running WOT the AC is turned off automatically. The biggest gain youll get is being like...30lbs(?) lighter by removing the AC condenser

There's a fuse in the engine compartment fuse block that says "ac clutch". Just pull the fuse. I did. Works great..... I mean it won't work after that.

I will never remove my A/C....
I built a Porsche 944 when I lived in Florida for Porsche club events and my mechanic was trying to get me to remove the A/C.... I am sooo happy I never did!!! I drove to events, since I did not have a trailer.... If I had a trailer then the A/C would have been gone in a heartbeat

Yeah I saw that. You have to monitor pressure though and manual turn it on and off yourself. Ever notice how when your A/C is on it doesn't always rob your power. That's because it monitors it's own pressure and turns on and off as needed. It would work, just have to watch out.

I might do that in the summer. It will probably be unbarable.

You dont gain dick for power loosing your ac, it shuts the hell off at wot anyway. The only benefit from loosing it is the 35lb more or less in wieght reduction.

literally, you can safely run r12 at lower temps than r134 without it icing up.

doesnt the defog compressor use the AC pulley?
i always use the AC in the summer when its raining, it takes the humidity out of the air and clears up the windows

Um........ ice forms at 32 degrees regardless of what system you have.

i'm actually pretty disapointed with the cobalt a/c. when its hot enough (95+) for me to want to use it, it doesnt work very well. I dont know if its because its just too hot, or if its the compressor.....
