Changing The Transmission Fluid

Does anybody know how to change the transmission fluid on a Cobalt with a 2.2L engine? I know how to do it on a traditional transmission, but I've never done it on a closed transmission system. Any help would be much appreciated!

4 speed.

Drop pan, change filter and gasket, replace pan, there is a nut to take out by one of the axles to check for fullness (it will leak once its full), fill by opening on top of the trans.

^Bingo.

Trans fluid in a slushbox is extremely important to lifespan of said trans. I would recommend changing it every 15-30K depending on how hard you drive the car...

No need to check the fluid. With a pan drop the tranny takes exactly 6.9 Quarts. I personally put in 7 quarts that . is like nothing.
