Changing Transmissions

I currently own a 2.4l automatic cobalt but I am thinking about changing the transmission from automatic to manual, can this be done or do I have to change the engine to?

Not worth the money spent. You would be better off, selling your car and buying one with a manual.

It is an 2006 I know that the price is high but I have seen on auto trader and cars that people are asking the same or more that I am for the same type of car I don't want to ask that much but like I said I gotta be able to pay off the loan which sucks. Other wise id probably only ask like 6-7

Just because you are upsidedown doesnt mean some one else is going to overpay even more.

a 06 ss/na, 5k-6k.
there are 06-07 SS/SC selling 6-7k and 08-10 SS/TC 9-13k

if its under 100k you can get around 7500 bucks depending on the options. When I bought mine last year KBB value was like 6950 fully loaded with 125k.
