cleaning bad oxidation off of lamina cores?

Well, i mixed hydroflouric acid 50/50 with water and dipped the cores in there along with my manifold haha. let the cores sit for maybe a minute each, then took them out and dunked in straight water.
dried off immediately after that with compressed air and they were looking muuch better. a good wire brush helped to take off any other clumped up oxidation and the cores are sitting in my manifold with new zzp o-rings now.
