Clutch Trouble

Hey guys. Looking for some help with my Pontiac G5. The clutch going soft over night and while driving. however, if I lightly maintain my foot on the clutch pedal while driving it will hold pressure. Also if I leave the clutch pressed in while parked with a piece of wood overnight it will as well hold pressure.

I don't understand what the problem is.... would this point to the clutch slave or master cylinder??

also to add when I do lose pressure it takes a fair bit of pumping of the clutch pedal to get pressure back.

thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

Sounds like you had my problem.

If you check your brake fluid, are you losing any? If not, it's possible the o-rings in the line are getting worn out and is sucking in air (as mine didn't leak at all). I ended up replacing the line and the elbow which did resolve this issue.
