Cobalt Security Light?
I noticed in other cobalts I was looking at buying that when the car is locked on the dash there is like a security light that blinks.
I have a 2007 cobalt lt and when I lock my doors even lock them multiple times with the key fob that security light never comes on and flashes? I take it this means my security system is not active, or do not all cobalts come with this security feature?
It's not a problem I guess I am just curious if this has anything to do with my front left speaker not working and no chimes coming out of it either if maybe that it's tied in with that security feature or if I just don't have it factory installed in my car?
Thanks if anyone can answer this.

When you push the lock button twice, does the horn beep? That basically tells you the alarm is active. Maybe not all Cobalts have that. You cna check through the DIC menu if its active.
Yes when I push the lock button twice on the key fob the car will beep but when I look inside the car I don't see a security light on the dash that flashes every few seconds.
What do you mean I can check on the DIC menu if it's active??

my cars alarm goes off if say.. the windows down, cars locked, and you manually pull the lock thing and open the door.
but I'm going to get one of those blinking Blue L.E.D lights you put on the rear view mirror as a theft "deterrant"
