Cobalt SS/SC Cancelled
The only way you are going to do that is if you find someone who wants to show it also or is a complete sucker. The fact is that any car with gobs of mods is not going to be worth more then a stock car. The acception of course is super high end show cars, but if you think slapping an intake, exhaust, retarded wing, and some cool stylin cartoons on your car suddenly makes it worth more then you paid for it you're a fool and I have property on the moon for you.
10 or 20 years from now, the SS/SC is going to be like the Quad 4 Beretta GTZ, the Achieva SCX, or the Turbo Grand Prix (just to name a few GM FWD limited-production cars) - there will be a lot of beaters out there, and an occasional nice one that was put away before the kids got ahold of it.
I agree, the aftermarket will not die with the cancelation, it will take time for it to die completely!. If this was truely the case, the SRT-4 aftermarket would be dead, which it is not. I could list others, like the old Integra Type-R, the aftermarket isn't dead for that car either. Plus lets face it, the aftermarket for the SS/SC is fairly small and I don't forsee it getting much better anyways. As far as price reductions, if anything they will go up!
Exactly. The SRT-4 aftermarket is still getting bigger with new product from venders coming out all the time.
I don't see you losing the aftermarket products that fast. I am sorry to see the SS/SC go away though. Hopefully something better for the same price range from Chevy for you guys that are loyal to them.
Just think though your value will go up in time due to low supply and higher demand hopefully later on as younger people total more and more of your cars. I say this due to the SRT-4 is plagued with this issue too. Can't get on the forums each day without reading about another one being totalled.

and again, no.
You people watch too much Barrett Jackson.
You say this now but PM me in about 2-3 years when people are being sold used SS/SC's for just under what a new one cost.
An 2005 SRT-4 in excellent condition with 35k miles on it has a suggested retail of $18,265 (according to the Kelly Blue Book)
A 2004 SRT-4 in excellent condition with 49k miles on it has a suggestion retail value of $16,135 (same source as above)
I paid $20k for my 2005 in Jan 2005.
Regardless it is still alittle too early to tell how the value of them will hold. One can hope can't you?

You all know that GM cancelled the SS/SC because of all of those idiots who are ditching the factory SC for turbo setups. We need to be blaming those guys for this crisis.

You use the term rare WAY too loosely. Rare is a Dusenburg, Rare is a slant nose 599, Rare is something you will see at Pebble Beach on the Concours De Elegance someday. The Cobalt SS/SC is not and never will be rare in any way shape or form.
and again, no.

Thanks for explaining this. It doesn't matter if it's blue, orange or polka dotted. The color doesn't make it anymore valuable. There is nothing special about a Cobalt SS/SC that will make this thing worth any more money just because production is ending.
There are at least 6 dealerships around me and none of them have SS/SCs. they barely even have coupes. The only SSSC i know around here is alllll the way up rt 22 at Royal Chevy, and its a traded in 06 yellow.
And they aren't fanbois, they can just smell bullshit a mile away which is why they don't like you. Fact is no one likes you for a reason. You don't like me for some bullshit reason when honestly I did nothing to you in the beginning. You got this big ******* chip on your shoulders cause you had some forced induction when in reality your **** wasn't running right from the beginning but you were too ***** to admit that you didn't know what the **** you were doing.
They also don't like you cause you're just a straight up ******* towards people.
Overall, end yourself...you'd do the world a favor.
He just likes to find stuff to TRY and talk about me on...

Man I don't know about you guys but the 2008 Chevy HHR SS, not my cup of tea, the looks of it is just down right ugly to me no offense to anyone who does like it but I wouldn't trade my ss in for 1 of those even with it having 260 hp. And I haven't seen any ss's around here, seems like im the only 1 who has 1, only thing I have seen were the sedans, with the 2.2 other than that lol its like a ghost town in Columbus! but hey I love my car, if I gotta ride alone so be it.

In Ten years, the S/c Will be VERY rare
especially since they built them all with that great reliable GM name
Yeah I agree with you, but lol its so weired because I have yet to see another SS Supercharged Cobalt like mine, and a guy at my work just bought him a Cobalt but its the 2.2... but he wants to boost and what not, but yeah dude they're like gone lol. But its still nice me seeming like the only 1 around because a lot of Honda's driving around here!
If by "rare" people mean "collectibles", SS/SC's aren't actually "rare" enough.
And NEITHER are almost all:

"Collectibles" cars are more in the line of:
