its $22500 which is a hell of a lot better deal than a cobalt ss performance to cost ratio.

Not true. The cobalt, with no options on it, is $21,XXX. The dealers load them up with options, which is why they go for $24,XXX.

Exactly and fully loaded the ss just barely comes close to the options the speed has base.

When it comes down to it though, who really likes the way the speed3 looks? Its almost like buying an SRT caliber. Very ugly type of hatchbacks

ur gettin ripped off if they are selling them for 40 in QC. You should be paying at most 31-32g's CAN for an MS3

Lets say you only get the G85/LSD (the only real performance option), it comes out to about the same. The cobalt, is also lighter than the mazdaspeed 3.

i think its being overlooked here that mazada's average reliability is shoddy at best. they just dont for the most part build that great of a long lasting car. i wouldn't trust this thing for a daily driver as far i can spit. they are likely to be plagued by the same fuel and electrical issues as the n/a 2.3L. no thanks i'll keep my SS

All it has is performance, other than that its hideous. Now if it was the Mazda3 four door, maybe.... but its still ugly. Im sorry, SS/SC FTW Speed3 FTMFL

no, its true. Theres a pressure point on mazda 3's that if you kick a certain point all doors unlock. Mazdas answer : they put a plate over it. The thiefs answer to that : Kick harder.

So now people are just getting bigger dents in their cars and their **** jacked lol.

Nicer !!! it looks the same as a Mazda 3 GT with bigger wheels to me
Much more for the price i don't think so it has only a LSD which is available on G85 package for our SS which cost still much less than the Mazda
As for the Power yes 260hp Turbo is impressive but most of thew CSS.net members are already modded near or over 260hp, and we look way better IMO.
But finally Mazda put a decent sport car on the market since the RX-7

What are you talking about, look at that particular dyno chart for the Mazda Speed 3 with ONLY computer tuning (i saw elsewhere that a CAI + 3" exhaust gives also a LOT) :

the killer for me with the Mazdaspeed cars is this. A friend of mine has an 07 Eclipse GT, but because of their kid, he doesn't drive it all that much. They end up taking his girlfriends' Kia Spectra5 more... So he looked into the Mazdaspeed 3. There is only ONE Mazdaspeed dealer in the area- Albany NY is 2 hours from here. Your normal Mazda dealer (Burlington VT- 60 miles from here) will not touch the Mazdaspeeds for work... Add that to the pricetag... Ray kept his Eclipse even though you CANNOT fit a carseat in it!

I don't think I'd ever own a Mazda, especially after my experiences with them... they just don't seem to last like the other Japanese cars out there.

i personally like the way they look. the rims are pretty bad ass. and the number coming from that engine make it quite nice. i still like my SS/SC though.
