Could Someone Please Show GM.....

Could Someone please show GM this Forum? I am sure they would love to see how many of us have, are thinking of, or will be switching our future car plans away from a Cobalt SS S/C.

Someone on this site must know a higher up at GM that might actually read this forum and think "Wow, we are really screwing over a lot of long time GM customers and pissing them right off. I wonder if this will affect sales?"

GM, where customer service is job 1 (note - this is not a dig at any factory workers or sales people on this site, I know you are as much a slave to GM as the rest of us are)

NO

GM Exec #1 - "I say govenor, how is the launch of the Cobalt going?"

GM Exec #2 - "Jolly Good ol' Chap, Jolly Good! Almost 40% of the customers who ordered a cobalt will actually get one"

GM Exec #1 - "Smashing dear boy! A new efficiency record for GM!"

Lightbulb OK, just got off the Phone With GM

I called them to find out ANY kind of info on my car...

I also told the lady to check out THIS FORUM.. I said the name 3 times. ON the 3rd time she asked me "what was it again" and I heard her typing..

I said that she should pass the site's name along and have the higher up read this.. I read off a couple of the head lines to her, and told her a lot of people are about to cancle their orders, peaple have already canceled and gotten an other car. It's kind of discouraging when this is happening.... I said, I'm not trying to cause a problem. But there is a lot of people very ansy and pissed and it kind of SUCKS to see GM loose customers!... SHe said "yes it is" I was her FIRST customer trying to find out info on the Cobalt.. and I said "" I WONT BE YOUR LAST" lolol "there is a lot of us, especially up in Canada" LOLOL

She gave me a Reffrence #... She couldn't give me any info on my order becuase I didn't want her to call up my dealership.. BECAUSE/AND I TOLD HER they have been realllyyy good to me.. AND I DIDN'T WANT TO **** THEM OFF YET.. I'm in no rush, I just wanted to know where the order was at..!! She said, ok.. go ahead and handle it yours self, and if you want call us back with that # I gave you and We'll see what we can do if you your self doesn't get anywhere!

SO I thought I'd share this with you guys... "The Cobalt Team "

Hi everyone, i also talked to GM Canada today, in fact, about 4 hours ago, they called me. Talked to a lady there and she said she dug into things and got some answers for us. Looks like Canadians are gonna be happy. She said the cobalts are on their way, should be there anytime now, but most dealerships will start seeing them within 2-8 weeks, 8 weeks being when most will have theirs by that time. At first she said Cobalts and i said "are u talking about the supercharged Cobalt" and she said yes i am. So then i told her about problems with safety and production and stuff and nobody knew what was going on with them, and she assured me that any problems they have in the U.S. will not affect us, as the Cobalt SS/SC has met and passed Canadian Auto Standards. She said the dealerships will only be getting whatever SS/SC they ordered for right now. So i told her my dealership here has 3 on the way within the next couple of weeks and she told me that more than likely they are correct. Thought i'd pass this along, straight from GM Canada bout 4 hours ago.

Every time somebody posts something like this I'm amazed at how little credit people give the worlds largest automobile manufacturer.

Do you really think that they are actively trying to delay production?

More importantly, are you naive enough to believe that GM doesn't know you're upset?

Everybody is upset at the delays, but what were you expecting? A hand written note telling you each and every thing that is wrong with the vehicle right now? That would simply be bad publicity, pointing out what is wrong with their own cars.

Of course, half of you will say "Could they at least tell me when they are coming?" The simple answer is "No, they can't." If they could, somebody would know it and leak it to the rest of us, dealerships and websites alike.

The other half will be thinking something like "Why did they let us order them if they knew they were going to have production issues?" The simple anser again is that they didn't know they would have production issues. In fact if you didn't know they would have production issues, then that's your fault. GM has issues with suppliers all the time, especially on new models. Heck the SSR was almost 10 months behind schedule because a supplier sent in piston arms for the roof that weren't up to specs and they had to redesign the roof with the 3,000 piston arms they had.

No, GM doesn't plan on delays, that's why their called delays.

Would you rather have your car right now, or would you rather have it right? You don't get both. GM would rather send you a good product, instead of a faulty product fast.

And to be totally honest, they already know about the website. They spent tons of money in just coming up with the name, do you really think they don't know what websites are out there talking about the Cobalts They have X all to themselves, why wouldn't they know about cobaltss.net.

I dunno if that was a wise course of action telling GM corp about this forum. Certain users that may be employed by GM has been giving the CobaltSS.net community information that maybe they shouldn't be for whatever legal reason. Drawing attention to this site may in the long run get these helpful people in trouble with GM. Even if what they say is true, big corp has strict policies about releasing information to the public.

Sorry bro, just trying to look out for all GM employees who might have leaked information. If people start calling up GM directly and saying well you have employees on cobaltss.net saying something else, it might stir up a **** storm.

You're right, I meant www.sscobalt.com not www.cobalt.com.

Thank you for pointing that out.

Sometimes GM likes those **** storms as you put it.

What's the old Hollywood line? "The only bad publicity is no publicity"

I agree with you. Everyone needs to calmn down untill there are actual facts (at least the US customers) Like I said on another thread the 2005 Cobalt SS/SC has be released for order at the dealerships. If they just today placed the car on the system why would they be ending production. Obviously there is something thats being missed.

And as far as GM knowing about this site I gurantee they already knew about it back when my site had only a few hundred people and I didnt even use vbulletin I had a ton of searches from GM's corporate IP adresses.

agreed...we should be happy that they decided to fix any problems they saw and decided to fix instead of issuing recalls after recalls (not to say there wont be any)...but wouldnt u guys rather recieve a top notch product rather than a slapped together one? and believe me, to my knowledge, GM already knows about this website...i dunno about the higher ups, but i know for a fact that others at GM do know about it. to the ones that did order WAY back, that does suck and there really is no excuse for why you shouldnt get an 05...banshee and i already had a LONG dicussion about this last night...

This should get made into its own topic so people don't miss it amongst the other GM bashing threads.
