Difference in SS seats...

I was just wondering if anyone here has sat in both seats for the SS (Regular ones & Recaros)? IF so how did they feel?....is there a big differenc?.... I'm going to the NYC auto show Friday and I'm hoping they have both seats available to sit in

there are lots of posts; do a search.

and obviously 2 different seats are going to look and feel different, especially since the Recaro's have a lot of cloth.

what i meant to mention was: if anyone has sat in both is there a big difference in how supporitve the two seats feel? I know that when driving the Recaros will bolt you down better...but do the regular seats have at least some support, compared to the Recaros (i was just asking because i read somewhere that someone said the regular seats felt flat).
Its a tough decision...i like the look of the interior better with the inserts, but the Recaros will probably feel alot better when driving. Anyone else feel the same?

I believe the SS/SC and the Cobalt LT Sedan share the same seats just different leather appointments. I haven't gotten a chance to sit in either yet, but I would assume the regular SS/SC seats don't offer the type of support that the Recaro's will.

I opted for the standard seats.

i thought that the recaros seemed to hug your body more and more form fitting, the regular ss seats seemed to be more firm

The Ion Redline has Recaro seats.

I rode in Psi-Fi's Redline and the seats are great! They are so comfortable and really hold you in!

SS seats have a lumbar support, which the regular ones wont. What gets me is that they were suppose to have heated seats, but they dont.

The recaros felt really nice. They are the first recaros I have sat in. They don't hug you as much as the SRT-4 seats if you've sat in one of those, but they still have enough support.

Performance pakage coming

The recaros come with the performance pakage, and yes the stock ss seats are plenty supportive. They held me nice in the seat going through twisties at 100mph on our back roads. The only reason I have the recaros on order is because I want the performance pakage with LSD. Oh and the seats are more bostered than the lt's leather seats, but other than that they are similar.

Well I sat in both yesterday at the NY Auto Show - and I must say that I definitely like the standard (colored insert) seats better.

They had 2 SS S/C's at the show, both were Victory red - one had the standard seats, while the other had the performance package with the Recaros. The one with the performance package also was equipped with the optional sunroof (which was very nice BTW).

It seemed to me that the regular SS seats were just higher quality and much more comfortable than the Recaros. The Recaros have the fishnet material on the seat and back support, which felt like it would wear out pretty easily. The standard seats fit me perfectly, and the leather was great in terms of feel and quality. The side bolsters were also just right - enough to keep you in the seat during cornering, but not too much as to be uncomfortable.

I'd really like to order the LSD, but I think I'm going to have to pass it up seeing as it only comes packaged with the Recaros

I wouldn't even bother getting the car without Recaros. Other than the Vette, GM can't make a seat to save it's ****.
