Differences in PCM's

Just bought a PCM off a member that came out of a 04 redline, and was wondering why it would not work for my car, 06 ss/sc. I had sent an email to Zoomer at ZZP but he didn't respond back (no offence taken, duty calls I am sure) so I was wondering why it would/would not work?

That can be changed with a tech2 and hptuners, right?

that's in the software 07 will work in 06 05 but has something different with it also

AH. Well that is the answer I was looking for. Something more specific. Thanks guys. Also, sorry for the wrong section, I thought it was correct since it pertained to the lsj only.
