it was never designed to be a realcar, just a car t boost bragging rights
Yes but the SRT-10 is not supposed to be just a thrown together car. Maybe the first Viper was about bragging rights, but that excuse is now without merit.

didnt say you couldnt FI an ls7, said it was expensive. that says an ls7 variation, which coming from a car magazine could mean its a v-8. once you hear it in an official release from chevy then you can say its an ls7. its not the conrods, thats the only thing surviving when people blow these things up from trying to throw 14psi at it. its the thin cylinder walls. which is why if they do boost it, its going to have to be low boost.

and i was talking lingenfelter to the goobers who think the 427tt from the MT test is the end all. its a ncie car but its not just 45k like it shows in the link where it goes part by part. who cares about a piddling gas guzz tax on cars your already paying 1500+$ a month for??? i hate when chevy fanboys use the mpg arguement, its trivial. the z06 lacks "pashion" and feel. with the viper its ass, seat, tires, road. no electronic nannies, save abs. which is why i also love the ferrari f40, cobra 427 and saleen s7. all raw cars. and its why my 65 has no niceties.

Dodge is releasing the next gen viper with a rumored 650hp engine. It will be roughly in the same price range as the current viper (somewhere under 100k). The 650hp vette is rumored to be well over 100K. So it looks like dodge will have a cheaper car that's just about as fast the new vette, and could be faster than the current Z06. Dodge may take back the lead in bang for your buck, but that is way too far in the future to speculate.

And a 650hp vette will not run 9's stock. The car will come with street tires, and will run very low 11's at best. The Enzo runs very low 11's with AWD, street tires and similar power/weight.
