Does GM Spray Paint Exist?

Hey guys, I am looking to get a can of GM Laser Blue Metallic spray paint for my '06 SS/SC, the stealership says all they got is touch-up paint and that won't work for the big scratches I got..

I figure I am going to wet stand the scratch areas, mask everything around the scratches, just leaving 1/8" for the scratch itself, and put a few light coats of spray and possibly some clear over that. I hope it works out, it should.

Lemme know if you know where to get the spray, BTW I am in Canada.

Thanks

dont do that, its not gunna come out right.

If you paint something you really should paint the whole panel so you dont leave any lines from the masking tape. If you do that then sand it down with a 1200 or 1500 grit sandpaper and then buff it. but personaly i wouldnt do that.

If you want this is wat i do with scratches. I use touch up paint and touch up the scratch. Next day ill sand it with a 1,200 grit sandpaper. Then put some clear over the touchup. Wait for that to dry and sand that down and then lightly buff it and looks like the scratch was never there.

GM Spray Paint is unavailable through Canadian dealers. All they have is touchup paint. If you want LBM in a spray, you'll have to go to a dealerships body shop, any body shop, or any paint shop that can make custom sprays. Don't forget your GM Paint code # for LBM!

Yes, there's color-matched spray paint from GM.

Thanks, I have a few scratches I was wondering how to take care of. Sounds like a good and easy way.

I just ordered from www.paintscratch.com and for $45 (shipping to Canada) I get everything i need:

Qty Description Cost Total
1 2 oz. Basecoat Paint Bottle 18.95 18.95
1 2 oz. Clearcoat Bottle 9.95 9.95
1 2.5 oz. Rubbing Compound Bottle 3.75 3.75
1 2 oz. Acrylic Lacquer Thinner 1.95 1.95

It should work out well to fix the little areas where I have paint peeling off!

DAMN IT, why didn't my dealer have a SS in pink, I would've been all over that.
Thanks though, I've been trying to find color matched paint for a while, my poor used SC spent too much time on the chop shop lot, so it's not as perfect as it should be at 2000kms
