E-Bay "performance chips"
Okay guys.... here's the question.
I've seen a lot of these little cheapo mods for sale on e-bay. Some are just resistors that claim to increase power by tricking your ECU with a cold air reading. Others are control boxes that do who knows what in there. Has anyone tried these things? Do they really work at all? Wouldn't a colder air reading make your engine run more fuel and thus decrease fuel economy? Insight from anyone would be most appreciated.
Thanks

I used one in my old Z24, had a great placebo effect.
I found out what was actually happening was I was tending to just give it more throttle.
I would call it a complete waste of money until someone can throw down some dyno results.
