F40 swap help

F40 swap help

I put in a new f40 trans. Before i put everything in i wanted to shift through the gears after connecting the cables and shifter to it but it wont go into any gear. Its like locked. Did i maybe connect something wrong?

Lock is in place on tower of shifter on transmission

Do you guys happen to know how the shifter cables go? Like if youre in the car, does the black one go on the right side and the white one on the left side where it connects to the shifter?

Yeah i could find pictures of the cables on the transmission but not inside the shifter assembly. I just want to figure it out before i start putting the subframe and fusebox and everything back in. The way its set up it sounds like it engages 2 4 and 6th gear but not 1 3 and 5.

If you pulled pin you should be able to watch tower and see what it's doing
