Genesis coupe
Genesis coupe
I have been looking at the new Hyundai genesis coupe they seem like they could be a stout car if you do it right I understand that it is new and there isn't much out for the 3.8 but there are some good options for there 2.0t. just seeing if anyone has looked at these trying to get some info
but like any other hyundai its a cheap ass interior and the engine is fine, 2.0t. but its not the end all be all of sport compacts like everyone was hyping it to be. stock they are slow, I wouldnt buy one personally.
Stock they are slow my brother has one but I think the potential is there. There is a **** load of room to stuff a monster turbo and rwd to put the power down is nice. Also it is a very nice looking car, imo definitely better than my cobalt.
theres some big turbo one that made over 400whp, but just because its rwd turbo doesnt make up the fact it could handle shitty and the interior blows and it costs more than a ss. idk you'd have to drive one yourself...
i took a 2.0 version out and it honestly wasnt any faster than my g5 gt. I would only consider the 3.8 version and then again you could get the v6 camaro which is cheaper in price and has about the same power.
The genesis coupe its a nice car. I was deciding between that and the SS TC witch I currently own. So why I decided to go with the SS TC?
The True Tuner Perspective:
1. Parts are cheaper/easier to get a hold on
2. Engine potential proven already to exceed 1000hp Vs a engine to prove itself
3. Better Suspension
4. Easy to flash/Reprogram - you only buy a computer that connects directly to the diagnostic port so you can change fuel maps and all other aspects of the car
5. More Resources for tuners: see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymkWXB5V7Mo
The Consumer Perspective
1. More comfortable driver seat(I am 6.2 and weight 280lb)
2. Better stock MPG (you want to save for upgrades do you?)
3. Cheaper- having more HP for less money and More features (No launch control/competitive mode on Gen Coupe)
In all fairness the Gen Coupe its a solid car and a milestone for Hyundai indeed but in my humble opinion it has a lot to prove and thats why I preferred the SS TC
Note: I test drove both cars and did a ton of research before choosing and everyone out there should do the same before buying.
