GM Ecotec Handbook

All I need is a yes or no.

Do I go to my dealership and ask for one? Do I have to order it? How do I go about getting one? And no, I don't want to get it online from that Java thing. I want a paper copy.

how much does one of these run?

The OLD book was available as an ordered part that you could buy right from the parts counter. They had it in paper and CD ROM. I don't know about the new book, but I bet you can. Just stop in and ask.

Same here, they dont respond to the email. The book just shows up at your house.

It has a part number so I think you have to order it. I got a free copy at the bash, if you can find a gm event with cobalts/ecotec you can probably get one for free there as well.

Not sure if I'm talking about the same book, but I was/am trying to get the FSM(Field Service manual) for the cobalt. I called the local dealer, and they gave me the contact to call. You can order the book(IT's the big one that the techs use in the shop)from the publisher, Helm, Inc. Call them at 1800-782-4356. What they'll do is send yo ua postcard, asking you to confirm that you want the FSM(I believe they referred to it as the Technician's manual)m and call them back with the order number. The cost for the book is 135.00 + 6.95 shipping/processing. I know it seems a bit much, but I paid 250 for the one I got for my Supra, and believe me, it became my bible for that car.
