gmpp touring vs performance exhaust
Hey guys, Went up the stealership today to check a few prices. For the touring exhaust they want like 450, and for the performance they wanted 550. With this said. I like a exhaust that's not really loud that draws unwanted attention but i want something a little louder and more flowing then stock. Out of those 2 what one is best and why?

i have the GMPP touring muffler on my stock ss/sc catback, and IMO it sounds amazing. its a couple levels louder than stock, but doesnt drone in the cabin while cruising. it has a nice smooth throaty sound to it. when you get on it, it doesnt break up or get raspy. i would go with the touring exhaust if i were you.

touring is quieter from what i understand, also less raspy. here's what my car sounds like with the touring. just keep in mind i also have a header/downpipe, so this isn't JUST the cat-back.

I have the Performance on my 2.4. I like it. But since my car is auto, it drones quite a bit when it's in too low of a gear. Sounds great while cruising around 3k though, as well as rev ups. I'd love to hear the Touring on a 2.4 though if it's a tad quieter.. That's sounds good with the Touring and the Vibrant header/dp. Mine sounded like ass with my ZZP header/dp and my GMPP. Took off the ZZP and it's better. Too loud with the ZZP for my liking.. Looking into other options..

I've had both exhaust's on my old SS/SC ....the touring was the better sounding IMHO. The performance would drone on the highway and was a good bit louder than the touring. The touring has about the best sound out of a 4 cylinder that i've ever heard lol. It was perfect for me. Touring is usually more expensive , i remember i paid like 75-80 buck more for it a couple years ago.

yeah the touring exhaust is more expensive. it uses a larger muffler with more material packed inside than the performance exhaust does for a lower sound level. i think the touring exhaust sounds amazing. it has a deep throaty sound while shifting through the gears, no drone while cruising, and a strong / powerful sound (with no break up) when you get on it.
