Good Comparison? (cars of sligt diff group)
Just make sure there stock just like me, right down to a paper filter.
I am in Omaha/Lincoln twice a week and see alot of SRT-4's. Thats where I have raced two allready. Your attitude is awesome, you still think it isn't a drivers race.
I was at the track Friday night with my Camaro and watched three SRT-4's run mid 14's. They were actually nice and talked to me about my SS/SC. Two of them were friends and even told me that the SS/SC was just as fast in the 1/4 but the SS/SC would deffinatly pull on them 70mph plus.
By the way JCX I love your sig. you should have just put:
" Teaching one Cobalt SS/SC and Z06's that my SRT-4 hauls more groceries and ego "

I'm glad you like my sig, I patterned after your old one. I have no ego about my car. It can beat up a lot of cars, but there are a lot that can beat it up. It's fun. I like the look. I got a great deal on it. It's also loud, bumpy and gets bad mileage. No excuses, I take the good with the bad. Unlike you I can admit my car's faults.
BTW, I like your new sig :
"SRT-4's Aren't losing there drafting "
Just a tip though, you should change it to say "they're". Don't they teach english in fanboi school?

lol, yeah. I don't care what car is faster than mine. I bought my Cobalt because it's fun to drive.
Sure, every once and a while I'll see a WRX or Boosted Civic and wonder if I could take em
but my ego isn't based on being convinced my car is the fastest ever.
When I first got my SS I was convinced I was going to build it up to 300+ hp but you'll just end up with a car that's a pain to maintain. I just want a speedy daily driver.
Can't we all just get along?

I appreciate your attitude. If I didn't get such a good deal on the SRT-4 I would have probably looked at a CobaltSS as a daily driver. Like all cars, it's got it's ups and downs. Same with the SRT-4, it's not perfect either.

The SS/SC and SRT-4 is pretty much a drivers race. Alot of SS/SC drivers are used to J-Bodies and not driving/Racing there Cobalt. A SS/SC will easily match numbers produced by SRT-4's.
As for SRT-4's running better than 13.8 fully stock, No. Just plain knowledge of cars will prove that almost impossible. They don't have the power, gearing or traction to do that. Period......

You either need to take your ss/sc to the track and post the number or just STFU. You constantly bash the SRT-4 and then wonder why every SRT-4 owner on the forum bags on you.
CodySS = All Talk, No Walk.
I agree with mchat. If you're going to talk so much trash at least go to the track and get some numbers. I have no problem with what you're saying, but you're going to have every SRT4 owner and their mother come in here with timeslips, but you don't have any.
Why do you SRT-4 guys keep being so ignorant? This debate is stupid and in all seriousness you guys are completely oblivious to anything. Your damn SRT-4 aren't faster or superior to a Redline or Cobalt SS so deal with it already. How stupid can you really be to think your car is so much faster. It isn't geared better or weigh less and the little power advantage it has does nothing.
Quit comparing the absolute best SRT-4 times to the worst SS/SC times. 1 out of 20 trips down the 1/4 will a stock SRT-4 run better than a 14.4. Doing so just adds to the obvious fact that you know nothing. Thats like saying all LT1's and all Mustang GT's are 13 second cars even though average times are in the low 14's. My Camaro SS has ran a 12.89 and a 12.87 last week and I will still be the first one to say that it runs really low 13's 95% of the time.
Get over the FACT that your Neon SRT-4 isn't top dog in the compact sport market anymore.
And if your going to post slips at least get a picture of the car at the track with the numbers still on it. Then again don't then I can post some from my ummm SS/SC.

You drag race your Camaro but you bench race your Cobalt. Are you scared it might prove that it's not a low 14 second car? Read through your own drag racing forum.
You can argue over the top dog all you want, but stock for stock the SRT-4 is the faster dog. That's it man. No shame. Just reality.
CodySS, you're so full of it no wonder your attitude stinks
If you care to look at the time slip you'll see a little yellow sticker that has the car number on it. That's the sticker I pulled off of my car, as that was the sticker number it was running that night.
As for the 13.53 run, it's documented on the Hot Teams racing website:
http://www.outrunu.com/2004Jan18MoparGM.html
I'm M63, and I have the exact same username (MChat) on the Hot Teams forum.
Only 1 out of 20 below a 14.4. You really believe the BS you type don't you.
If you reverse that 1 out of 20 above a 14.4 you might be close. Closer is 1 out of 50 (I screw up and run a bad pass every now and then) was above a 14.2 when my car was stock. I would say that the average SRT-4 with the average driver gets 13.9's to 14.1's.
The bottom line is, once I figured out how to launch it, 90% of my runs were below 14.0. Most consistantly (probably 50% or more of the time) it ran 13.8's. And then I started modifying it. So when I say it ran 13.8's stock, I mean CONSITANTLY; Lets see even ONE 13.8 pass out of your SS/SC, I bet you can't do it, at least not stock. So you can take your so called "Fact" and shove it.

Mike, M63, 2003 SRT-4 Neon 2.4L Turbo, slicks [0.160/13.53, 6pts]
vs
William, GM67, GTP, Super Charged 3.8L running 245 dot's [0.672/13.71, 1pt]
Very close race. SRT-4, what an impressive near stock car this one is. The GTP was out fitted nicely with air-to-water intercooler, MSD coil pack, exhaust, over drive pulley and an N20 kit that was negotiated out of this match.

I am not taking my Cobalt SS due to the fact that the only track within two hours has a 1.5 mile gravel entrance road. My SS hasn't even seen rain so it isn't going to see gravel either.
Obviously you think you drive much more than a Neon so what more can be said?

You want to see pictures? I have pictures of every car I have owned on the same bridge as my Cobalt SS pictures. By the way I am 26.

Here are some of my older pictures. Even some of my 1991 Firebird that was crushed by a drunk in a Explorer.

I respected you more when you said you were 15, at least that is a valid excuse.

There is little point bickering when it comes down to real vs imagined. One rotten apple doesn't spoil the crop I suppose.
