First time in my life I've ever been pulled over.

The first words out of the cop's mouth were "Wow! Is this a Cobalt?!" I said "Yep, a 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS, Laser Blue Metallic" he goes "Niiiice, have a nice night!"

(They were looking for drug dealers, and apparently a new car is suspicious)

Similar thing happened to me, I was in BDU's going to ROTC and he said "Wow, servicemen sure are getting sweet rides these days!"

Lol, nice ... About the same thing happened to me except I was driving back from the bar going about 72 in a 45. The cop pulled me over and asked what kind of car I was driving and he was like "Just slow down with a nice car like this cause there are alot of drunk drivers around here and you don't want to mess up this car." Gotta love nice cops.

 

No, I was delivering my newspapers. So it was like a little after midnight, and I was driving up and down dead end streets, so they said they wanted to know why I was "driving suspiciously" but then they saw my newspapers, so they didn't even wait for a response from me. They just let me go without even checking my I.D.

It was awesome to have my car complimented, it was almost like he had ADD. He was like, all professional and suspicious and everything and then he was like, WOW! NICE CAR! lol. It was pretty cool.

i had the same thing. just i had 4 drunks in my SS/SC and the me and the cop waited to cycles of the light, he was askin me questions about my car. good times

 

Sounds like he was a pretty level headed guy. I know a few cops that would have wanted to search underneath the papers.

nice..everytime i get pulled over they **** with me...but like a good citizen i am...i just laugh at them and pull myself out of the problem..lol

 

We newspaper carriers get pulled over all the time. 9 times out of 10 they'll just let us go no matter what violation we committed, but sometimes you get those real bastard cops who are just out for blood. You've gotta watch out for those.

If a cop ever followed me on my paper route he could impound my car and pull my license for the amount of traffic violations I commit in one night. I run stop signs, speed, don't use turn signals, run red lights, power slide corners, drive on the wrong side of the road, drive in reverse down the middle of the road, I do all kinds of crazy stuff while delivering.

P.S. Even after all this time, I'm still happy to have gotten complimented by the cops about my car.

ive been pulled over twice and both times i get the "now this isnt your car right? its your parents correct?" givin i drive a sedan but its got some stuff done to it and they are like surprised when i say no its mine, ive paid for it with my own money and my parents have nothing to do with it. gets annoying. cant a 20 yr old have a nice 4 door and not be harassed for not having a coupe...

 

wow, thats by far the nicest cop i saw..cause even though they were looking for drug dealers..atleast i thought he would ask for ur "license and registartion"..and ask some questions , but not "is that a cobalt" lol...good stuff...yesterday a chevy cavalier was tailgaiting me for some apparent reason...i was driving normal and then he jump in the right turn only lane and sped pass me and my g/f dad's suv and cut him off and a cop came flying outa no where and pull him over . I swear this kid look like Sanjaya from american idol lol

 

i wish they were like that in El Paso... i got pulled over for doing 85 in an 80 just before i got deployed... only got a warning but its the principle of the thing! and it was 830 in the morning!!!
