Header Install Question

I want to tackle my header dp this weekend. Im installing a CTI mid length and DP. I've read the how to's and am comfortable doing the work. I noticed in the how to for the long tube header, you have to remove the valve cover to drop the header in from the top.

My question is, does removing the valve cover make it any easier accessing the bolts for the exhaust manifold? Would it be worth removing? Any advice would be appreciated.

You do not need to remove the valve cover to install the CTI header.

You can access a good portion of the bolts from the top side with a 13mm socket. Jack the car up, and get the remaining bolts from the bottom.

Install is the reverse of removal. Simple.

Did you go from underneath, or drop it in behind the motor?

Go from underneath....

You will be driving yourself nuts trying to wedge it down from the top.

yeah, if you go from underneath its a 20min job.. just hope them bolts are not rusty or you will have fun.
most likely will need couple extensions to reach the bolts on the header side.
