Sure now try and actualy GET those cams from GM! LMAO!! I tried for 3 freaking years when I worked for them and I was told the same thing over and over till I gave up....That the supplier has none in stock and they have no idea when they will.

True this was about 6 months ago cause like I said I gave up so if they're availble now please disregard this post

will do... ive got pretty much everything in the clear all i need to decide is whether i want to glass it to the factory cobalt panels and paint it over (ive been liking the blue ones ive seen) or to have more fun trying to get that dash trim from the ssr to fit for the cobalt... its the perfect size lenghtwise but the main problem is making it so the metal clips work correctly and i would need to do a little work on the glove box (nothing hard thou)

Ok here's my problem. I'm trying to install ss/sc 34lb fuel injectors in my 2.4lss.

SSfamilywagon said he pulled an injector harness off of a 2.2l engine he found in a junkyard and he used it to install the ss/sc injectors in his 2.4.

I ordered one at my local dealer, gm part# 12582220, however it does not fit. The clips are much bigger than the fittings on the ss/sc inectors.

Does the 2.2 use several different injector harnesses? Help!

It looks like the injector harness for the 05-06 with the 2.2 is different than the 07 with the 2.2. The 12582220 is the harness for the 05-06's with the 2.2. The 12604537 is the 07 one.

The injector connectors are the same from a 2.0 to a 2.4. They are different on a 2.2 though. I wonder if he pulled the 2.0 harness instead of the 2.2?

Thanks for your help.

The bag containing the harness I got does indeed say 1258-2220, however there is a white band on the harness with the numbers 1876. I have an 06 2.4l.
The injectors I have off the 2.0l have much smaller connectors than my 2.4 and about 1/2 the size of the clips found on the new harness I received. All three connectors are different. The 2.0 being the smallest, the 2.4 a little bigger and the 2.2 harness I received has the biggest clips/connectors.

I purchased my 2.0l injectors from a Canadian member to install in my 2.4, I hope the US and the Canadian injectors are the same. They are green Seimens injectors, GM #12790827. Could you tell me if these are the same injectors used in the US model?

It looks like the injectors for both the US and the CAN are the same part numbers. That number is the stock 2.0 injectors.

Cool!

Thanks for your help.

It looks like the proper harness # to install 2.0 injectors in a 2.4 is:

The fronts for the 2 door and the 4 doors are the same number and pricing. The dealer price is the price each GM dealership pays (without discounts) when they purchase it from GM. The list price is the price that most dealerships want to get when they sell it. The trade price is usually the price that most GM dealers sells to some sort of reseller i.e. a body shop or service center something like that. Most dealers will not sell it at their cost. I put it on here just to let people know that they might be able to get them to lower the price a bit cuz they're making enough money off of ya
