from what i remember megan coils in the front, cut springs in the rear with a shim for the hub

 

That would make for some interesting handling...hmmm...

 

To bad you cant cut the rear springs on these cars. so try again....

 

soooo nice to know that you are the god of cobalts if i ever have suspension issues i'll come to you.

seriously though, they're megan coils from a civic ep3. i was tired of seeing coilovers on cars and still an inch of gap. i went ahead, mig welded some tabs on the things from ss/sc struts, did some work with the caster/camber plates and now i have the lowest cobalt. the rear springs are cut. the progress coils were binding, so there was no harm done to the handling. the camber on the other hand, is not the best thing for handling. i had to modify the caliper brackets to follow the hub angles, which is also not the best thing for handling. i'm never going to track this car. i drive it like a granny which is what you have to do with a car this low. if you don't like it, cool man. i love slammed cars and rat rodding. go do your street racer hero thing. i'll just not get tickets and look cool doing it!

should have went with skunk 2 pro-s coilovers. lol. props for doing something diffrent like that. i love slammed cars. theres a lot of slammed civics on my old forum.

 

haha yeah that would be sick, using exclusive honda parts on a gm car would be sooo sick. i knew honda was good for something LOL

 

to be honest i was thinking of throwing a skunk 2 muffler on my ss/ tc. they make one with a 3" inlet and the muffler looks much better than most other ones they make for the cobalt. idk if im gunna do it tho.

i saw a red civic today with exhst, tow hook and the possible hood spacer mod but it had front end damage so i couldnt tell. No joke, when i saw it i thought of this thread.
