Hot Compact & Imports COBALT!!!
Hot Compact & Imports COBALT!!!
Has anyone seen the cover page of Hot Compact & Imports? It reads "World's Best Cobalt" "Whitfield Builds The Most Insane FWD Street Car"
In the article itself the title says "The Man, The Myth, The Legend" under that it says "Could Thie Possibly Be The World's Baddest FWD Machine?"
But guys this is really big for the cobalt world, knowing that the cobalt is front cover of this magazine getting a big rep showing other companies that the cobalt is more than just a car its a racing machine, and now i think the aftermarket world is going to go up for us.
I can find more about this and maybe can type the article on here for people who havnt seen it yet but just let me know.

I almost forgot to add, the magazine is Febuary 2007 edition, so maybe you guys havnt seen it out there, but the store i work for got a shipment in and i always check the magazines and my eyes lite up right when i saw the magazine.
yeah the pics are awsome did you get the poster in the middle? and the writeup is amazing, but is it me or does the engine look its slighty towards the front of the car more? and where is the radiator? i see the intercooler but not the radiator
Got the poster, sick looking pics! The engine was moved forward, that's something I noticed right away but with that big of a manifold and other parts, you gotta do that.
I liked the part how they said that while it has all this stuff, he can still roll up to the In N Out and get a burger. It's his "daily driver."

yeah i saw that too, its street legal with a dam parachut lmfao!!, but i also noticed that he shoulda changed the rear braking system, look closely, its drum brakes, he so shoulda did a disk conversion, and yeah that intercooler and manifold is massive!!!
Drums generally have more stopping power, but they cant cool off like disks

Talk about repost mania. This is about the 5th time in a week we have a new thread about Jason's car. This is getting to be almost as bad as the 2008 turbo Cobalt threads. Jasons car has been around for almost a year now guys. Look closer and discover that it is read with a really cool roll cage.

It's more for airflow then for downforce. Have you ever noticed that the stock rear end collects dust and dirt? With that big wing nice and low like that it will help smooth out the turbulance around the rear of the car and allow for less drag.
People are too quick to call rice these days. Atleast know what you are talking about before you do please.
Yea i think that guy was just being sarcastic about calling it rice. I don't care if it had a 5 foot wing on it and pink neons. A nine second car is a nine second car!!!!
But seriously, i doubt Mr. Whitfield would have anything on that car that wasn't ABSOLUTELY necessary to its performance.
Wings can help a FWD car, its just too bad that most don't.
