Absolutely.
I've had mine since mid-February, and so far I've only had minor issues with it (fuel gauge, plus recall-related work on the air conditioner and steering column).

What are some things you love about your new Cobalt?
I love the interior and ride. I also love the stereo system, the mp3 function is the best.
I am just very impressed with the build quality and I have had 4 chevrolets previously. The interior is very tight, I won't pretend it's as nice as a acura or lexus, but the same quality just economy materials.
What are some of the things you wish it had, or was better?
More guages, Sirius instead of XM, wish it came with an armrest. I think they of also lowered it from the factory.
What other cars did you consider?
Used BMW 330Ci, or Lexus IS300.
What are your modification plans?
Well I had the car tinted and I installed a arm rest.
I am planning on: Exhaust, CAI, Pulley and some ecu upgrade/piggyback or nitrous. Also would like to do an all coil over suspension package and start tracking the car but not until the warrenty is up.

Its a perfect car for me considering that its only my first car. It definetly has massive improvements over cavalier. The suspension/ handling/ tires of this car is just awsome. Interior looks a lot classier than its price (LT int). Road noise well muffled and definetly quieter than civic. Chrome on black looks sharp both day and night.
It could have been better without the old fashion antenna. The truck gap is quite huge where u see the grey tail light base thing (sedan models). Squeaks from door hinges when going through rough terrain (some parts are getting replaced soon). Weird noise coming from the driver's seat when its height is raised. Rattling noise deep inside the dash is noticable when running over speed bumps and rough terrain. The closing of the glove compartment requires more push than its suppose to be. ALSO.....rear passenger room is quite tiny....
Future Mod : Xenon headlight kit
Not planning to spend too much money on this car since im saving up for future Camaro/Chevelle
Overall, its a very sweet car to drive everyday. Its definetly worth looking at even if you dont like GM at all.

i love my CobaltSS. The power is awesome. love the interior and handling. the only thing i wish is that the exhaust was louder. They have such a huge muffler on it you cant hear anything. i have heard my roommates srt4 for a year now and that exhaust sounds mean as hell and you cant even hear my car next to it now. that is the only thing i wish it had. overall i am very happy with the car.
Trim? LS coupe
Options? Pioneer speakers and amps
What are some things you love about your new Cobalt? the nice fit and finish, the quiet ride, the neat looking tail lights, the way the fenders flare, the wonderful little Ecotec engine, the 28.6 mpg I've been averaging for city driving
What are some of the things you wish it had, or was better? The so-called premium ride suspension is too soft for my taste (too much body-roll). I definitely want to upgrade to stiffer struts/shocks in the future. Also I've noticed that the paint job, while nicely done, is rather soft too...easy to scratch. The Chevy bowtie on the trunk is an eyesore.
What other cars did you consider? a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT...I decided not to get the car because Hyundai has an outstanding problem with the manual transmissions on the GT, namely a clutch that is too easily destroyed. There are alot of horror stories on the web about this.
What are your modification plans? I want to shave off the rear bowtie and the side door moldings (never understood why car makers always put these things on). A stiffer suspension is a want. Also, I'd like to apply a clear film paint protector to the front bumper and hood.

Im semi-happy with it. It has a lil pep for the 145hp it has. But I had no choice considering it was the only car I could get without having any credit history.
I would've much happier with an SS/SC. Ah well, cant complain. It gets me from A to B.

Options
Sunroof is only option; would have gotten G85 if it was available here.
What are some things you love about your new Cobalt?
- Styling; this is opinion of course, but I really like the styling of the car (inside and out)
- Refinement - as others have stated I'm impressed with the cabin noise, solid structure and the overall quality of the exterior and interior. I have had many people comment on the car and almost everyone has said they couldn't believe it was a GM.
- "Always available" power - Coming from a turbo background (92' Talon) and this being my first supercharged car I like that there is power available at almost any rpm and any gear.
- Stereo - was originally planning on swapping the factory one out but now I'm putting that $ into some performance instead; I know it isn't competition sound quality or heart pounding bass, but it will do what I want out of it and more.
- Smoking "ricers" and surprising V8's
- Overall value for my money
What are some of the things you wish it had, or was better?
- LSD
- Armrest
- bigger trunk opening (can't fit my hockey bag through the trunk opening)
- weak-ass cup holders!!
- rear visibility (but I like the look of spoiler...)
What other cars did you consider?
- Pontiac G6 GT
- Chevy Colorado
- Volkswagen Jetta
- Subaru WRX
What are your modification plans?
- Intake, Headers, Exhaust, pulley, and tuning
- LSD and suspension later on
What do you like about this site?
- the members
- look and design (uncluttered, easy on the eyes, able to view at work, etc.)
- Picture section
- War Stories (need more though!)
