That information is quite informative. Thank you...I'm still at a loss as to how screwed I am gonna be with trading my 04 TBlazer though. Out the door in 05, she was an 04 left-over with 30 miles on her. I got her for 32g's out the door with 0% interest, 7yr 75 thousand mile warranty 0 deductible, tow pkg. and 4 wheel drive.
By the time I get back to NJ an can go shopping for the Cobalt SS/SC that I want with the G85 pkg. I will owe about 24g's...The most I have been offered from a dealership was 17 for mine, then they still tried to sell me the Cobalt for MSRP, not to mention the one I was looking at at the time was used with 3500 miles. Told her NO WAY am I gonna pay MSRP for a car that had 3500 miles on her already.. Anywayz...HELP please...Pretty sure they're gonna try an get me pretty good and I need a lil schooling to work around it. <----Fast learner by the way.. lol...eventually

So I'm not sure exactly WHY you want your buyers informed because then you won't be able to screw them up, down, left, and right on the price of a car. :P It's why I don't recommend leases, there are so many ways to get screwed on a lease it almost always ends up being a bad deal for the average car buyer.

The fact of the matter is that you're just upset because it's not quite as easy to fool people anymore as it used to be and that pisses you off. :P
Dealers used to make a ton of money in the past when they did not have to disclose the rebates to the consumers. That's when they really made the money.

Leases are great for people that only keep cars for 2-3 years. The reason leases can be great is because there is never a chance of negative equity. Most consumers think it is better to lease a car because they think they are owning it, when in fact they are just commiting themselves to car that they have a great chance in loosing money on. I'm sure you all have traded in a car that you financed and lost money on, but you can with a lease, because when it is over you usually owe nothing. Most consumers don't understand leases, and then get themselves into them without knowing what it is. That's when they get screwed, otherwise they are great ideas.

I would not pay MSRP for a cobalt with 3,500 miles on it. Buy a new one, and only expect to save $750 + rebates if any apply at that time. You could get up to almost $2,000 off reasonably if they really want to sell it, but that involves them selling it at Invoice minus the hold back (dealers live off this money, and few salesmen get paid from it)

Mine was like 22 and change. Got everything in it except the g85 pkg. Of course that price is before taxes and fees and whatever other bullsh*t buying a new car f*cks you over with. Either way, I'm still a very happy ss s/c owner
