how much are you guys getting for trade in?

Hey whats up,
Im *thinking* of trading in my car for an 09 ss/t.I have an 06 ss/sc with g85 with all options minus onstar. It has almost 30,000 miles on the clock.I owe almost 11,000 on it.I know there gonna try to rape me on trade in,but i would like to get a ball park figure on what you guys are getting for it.Ill prob stop by the dealer this week.Im gonna take out my painted headlights and put the stockers back in so they dont say anything about them.I figure with how much its gonna cost me to get the hahn kit,id rather take the loss and get a brand new car with a turbo on it already.

just remember they can tell you they will give you 16000 for it but they willtry to roll it over on the new one. my advice is to dosome research.

1. check kbb.com
2. check nada.com
3. try edmunds.com

if you have to just google them and you should find them. see what your car is worth. seems to me that the ss/sc didnt take too big a hit when the turbos came out. You may be better off outright selling yours. it should go fast and you can put a good down payment on the new one.

Another thing to do is check on the incentives rebates etc. I think they are ofering n employee discount for everyone. it s probably not for real. Depending on what all ou get it equiped with 19-22k if yobuyt outight with out a d-payment.

So be tough and dont let them rook ya with the fancy numbers ad squares and **** talk botum line.

All together research, research, research.

I was only able to get 14k for mine last week at the same dealer that I bought it from. 07 with 17,500 miles on it. But just paid what negative equity was there so I didn't have to roll it over into the new loan. I hate paying on a car that I don't own. People kill me with that ****.

Im def better off selling it on my own.The blue book is like 14,XXX if i sell it privately.I wouldnt buy the car now with the finance rates the way they are.I think its 6.9% or something like that.I got mine for 0%,so if i get the car im gonna wait for that.

thats one way they get ya take the rebate 7% take the 0% no rebate. in most cases the only real difference is if you plan to pay it off early. after about 2-3 years you will still owe the same amount or close to the same.

Either way it still sucks to loose money on a car. like what you've already paid. if i had it to do over i think i would have have bought a used ss/sc instead of my 08 sport or waited for the turbo.

On the other hand the new turbo will be sweet either way so good luck and post some pics if you get it.
