idle control sensor

idle control sensor

i have a 2005 chevy colalt 4 door sd...here is the issue: the gears are shifting and the rpm are normal...but the car sounds like it is stuck in a gear....someone sd that it could be the idol control sensor...i am not sure...can anyone help and can make sense of what i am saying

There is an idle air control solenoid on cable drive throttles. I dont think cobalts have an IAC motor, Its done with the throttle body plate electronically.

that is correct we dont have a seperate iac motor
